    Iguazu National Park Temporarily Closes Devil's Throat Access Due to River Flooding

    The Iguazu National Park will suspend access to the Devil's Throat from August due to the river's rise, associated with intense rains in southern Brazil and weather projections anticipating the El Niño phenomenon. The rise in water levels is not an isolated event, with the Iguazu River's flow reaching nearly 10 million liters per second, seven times higher than the usual average. The climate situation is marked by the imminent arrival of El Niño, which could bring much more intense rains than usual, with a risk of flooding in vast regions.
