Thank you for using Echo!

Echo refers to the Echo web application and related services owned and operated by Echo News or our affiliated companies ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Echo service, including our software, data, content, documents, and website (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Echo.

1. Registration and Access

Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old, or of the minimum legal age of digital consent in your country. If you are under 18, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian and use the Services under their supervision.

On Behalf of Others: If you use Echo on behalf of another person or organization, you must have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

Account Information: You must provide accurate and complete registration details. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and all activity under your account.

Account Sharing: You may not share your account with others outside your organization unless expressly permitted in writing by us.

2. Usage Requirements

(a) Right to Use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Services in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services.

(b) Feedback

By submitting feedback, you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use it without restriction or compensation to you.

(c) Restrictions

You may not:

• Use the Services in a way that infringes or violates the rights of others or any applicable law, including Israeli intellectual property, privacy, or defamation laws.

• Attempt to reverse engineer or derive the source code or algorithms of our systems.

• Upload malicious code or engage in activity that disrupts or harms the Services.

• Collect personal information from other users without their consent and without complying with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981.

• Use automated tools (e.g., scrapers) except as permitted by our APIs.

(d) Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Echo for any of the following prohibited activities:

Unlawful Activities – including fraud, harassment, defamation (as defined under Israeli law), or promoting violence.

Intellectual Property Violations – posting or distributing infringing content.

Misrepresentation – impersonating others or misrepresenting your affiliation.

Interference – disrupting networks or bypassing security measures.

Data Mining – collecting Echo data to build or train competing products.

Spamming or Automated Messaging – sending unwanted communications.

High Volume Automated Requests – excessive automated API calls or data retrieval.

Circumventing Limits – bypassing account, source, or usage limits.

Publishing Harmful or Misleading Content – distributing false, defamatory, or harmful information.

Third‑Party Platform Abuse – violating terms of linked services (e.g., Telegram, X/Twitter, RSS providers).

(e) Third‑Party Services

Echo may integrate with or link to external platforms. Your use of those services is subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their content or actions.

3. Content

(a) Your Content

"Input" means data, preferences, or material you provide. "Output" means results or processed content returned by Echo. You retain ownership of your Input. Subject to these Terms, we grant you our rights in Output for lawful, personal, or commercial use.

(b) Use of Content

We may process your Content to operate and improve the Service, respond to legal requirements, or enforce these Terms. To opt out of use for improvement, contact us at contact@echonews.io.

(c) Accuracy

Echo aggregates content from external sources. We do not guarantee accuracy or reliability. You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it.

4. Security and Data Protection

(a) Security

You must maintain reasonable security measures and notify us promptly in case of suspected unauthorized access.

(b) Personal Data

If you process personal data through Echo, you represent that you have provided all legally required notices and consents under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981 (the "PPL") and any applicable international regulations (e.g., GDPR, if relevant).

Your personal data may be stored or processed outside Israel in jurisdictions with equivalent or adequate data protection measures.

5. Term and Termination

Your Right: You may close your account at any time.

Our Right: We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, risks to security or reputation, or legal obligations.

Notice: Where practical, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before termination, except in urgent cases.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations

(a) Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Echo will be error-free or uninterrupted.

(b) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Israeli law, we and our affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. In any case, our maximum liability for all claims shall not exceed the total amount (if any) paid to us by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel, which shall have sole jurisdiction.

8. General Terms

Relationship: These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.

Brand Use: You may not use our names, trademarks, or logos without prior written consent.

Copyright Complaints: If you believe content infringes your rights, email contact@echonews.io with sufficient identifying details.

Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior consent; we may assign them in case of merger or acquisition.

Changes: We may amend these Terms periodically, with significant updates announced at least 30 days in advance. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

Notices: We may send notices using your registered email address.

Severability: If a provision is found invalid, remaining terms stay enforceable.

Entire Agreement: These Terms form the complete agreement regarding your use of Echo.

9. Service Availability and Fair Use

No Guarantee of Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Fair Use: We may restrict usage for performance or abuse reasons.

Excessive Use: Overuse may result in throttling or suspension.

Modifications: Features may change with reasonable notice.

Monitoring: We may monitor your use for compliance.

Enterprise Agreements: Higher usage or SLAs available on request.
