    Soldier Suspected in Assassination Attempt on Kyiv Clinic Director

    A 40-year-old soldier serving in the Special Purpose Police Unit (SZCH) is suspected of attempting to assassinate the director of a reproductive clinic in Kyiv. The attack occurred on September 3, with at least 23 shots fired. The victim, a 71-year-old man, survived and is currently in intensive care. The suspect was detained in a friend's apartment in the Shevchenko district, and a firearm was seized from him. Preliminary investigations suggest the motive could be related to a conflict over the treatment of the suspect's wife at the clinic.

    Jordanian Army Foils Drug Smuggling Attempts Using Balloons

    The Jordanian Armed Forces have successfully thwarted multiple attempts to smuggle large quantities of drugs into the country using guided balloons. The incidents occurred in the Eastern Military Region, with the most recent happening on Tuesday. The army shot down the balloons within Jordanian territory and seized the drug cargo. This month alone, the army has foiled four such attempts, along with an infiltration attempt and arresting the infiltrator. Syrian security forces also reported foiling a drug smuggling attempt in the countryside of Sweida.

    A Hong Kong radio station, Commercial Radio Hong Kong's English radio channel AM864, has been fined HK$120,000 for failing to broadcast hourly news and weather reports between May 1, 2022, and April 2, 2026. The Communications Authority (CA) found that the station's non-compliance, lasting over four years, was unacceptable despite minimal listener impact due to the availability of other news sources. The CA ordered the station to strengthen internal monitoring and submit improvement proposals within a month.
