China Donates 5,000 Photovoltaic Systems to Cuba for Rural Electrification and Essential Services
The Chinese government has officially delivered a second donation of 5,000 photovoltaic systems to Cuba. This donation aims to electrify isolated homes in rural areas and support health centers, medical emergencies, children's circles, orphanages, and bank branches. The systems have a higher power of 3.6 kilowatt-hours (kwh) compared to last year's donation and double their energy storage capacity to 14.3 kwh, increasing their efficiency and adaptability to Cuba's energy system. This donation comes amidst Cuba's deep energy crisis, with an outdated energy system and lack of necessary investments over the years.12 sourcesSee all sources
