   A 19-year-old Russian woman, identified as Miss Mariia, escaped from a suspected human trafficking syndicate in Myanmar and sought refuge in Thailand. She was found unconscious in a supermarket parking lot with visible injuries. She managed to escape by swimming across the Saen River into Thailand. Authorities plan to contact the Russian embassy to assist with her return home.
