    Saudi Arabia Alters Oil Export Routes Amid Houthi Threats

    Saudi Arabia is once again adjusting its oil export routes due to threats from Houthi rebels in the southern Red Sea. The kingdom has increased oil exports through the northern Red Sea by about a third, reaching 1.1 million barrels per day. Saudi Aramco is using tankers to transport oil from Yanbu to Ain Sukhna in Egypt, where it is transferred through the SUMED pipeline to the Mediterranean port of Sidi Kerir. At least four tankers have made the trip two or more times, transporting about 16.3 million barrels. This rerouting is another illustration of the ongoing trade friction imposed by the war in Yemen.
