    Fuel Prices Increase Over Weekend

    The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has set new maximum fuel prices for the period of August 1-3. A liter of gasoline will cost no more than 30.77 lei (up from 30.72 lei), and diesel fuel will cost no more than 32.54 lei (up from 32.26 lei). This marks an increase of 5 bani for gasoline and 28 bani for diesel. Despite these maximum prices, some gas stations have been reported to charge higher prices, with gasoline exceeding 35 lei per liter and diesel over 30 lei per liter.
