Bosch to Halve Workforce at Nuremberg Plant by 2029
Automotive supplier Bosch is set to reduce its workforce at its Nuremberg plant by half, with around 900 jobs expected to be cut by 2029. The company currently employs 1,800 people at the site, producing components for internal combustion engines and fuel cells. The job cuts are attributed to the ongoing shift in the automotive industry towards electric vehicles, increasing competition from Chinese rivals, and stagnating global car demand. Bosch has pledged to find socially acceptable solutions for the affected employees.11 sourcesSee all sources
