    PMI Data Reveals Mixed Services Sector Performance Across Economies

    The latest PMI data shows mixed performance in services sectors across various economies. Australia's Services PMI final actual was 53.2, up from 52.9, while its Composite PMI was 52.7. Chinese Services PMI came in at 51.4, up from 50.4. German Composite PMI final actual was 51.8, up from 51.0, but its Services PMI was 49.7, unchanged from the previous month. Italian Services PMI was 55.2, up from 52.5.

    Barilla to Acquire U.S. Mac-and-Cheese Brand Goodles

    Italian pasta giant Barilla has agreed to acquire Goodles, a fast-growing U.S. mac-and-cheese brand known for higher-protein, higher-fiber products. Goodles launched in 2021 and has since grown its market share significantly. The company was valued at $88M in 2023 and turned profitable in 2024. Barilla approached Goodles about a deal in June, and the brand will remain standalone with CEO Jen Zeszut staying on and all employees retained.
