Malaysia: 40 Arrested in Luxury Apartment Call Center Fraud
Malaysian police have raided five luxury apartment-based call centers, arresting 40 suspects for targeting victims from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan with various scams. The suspects, including three Malaysian men, 32 foreign men, and five foreign women, were employed as 'customer service' or fraud operators. Police seized hundreds of mobile phones, computers, modems, routers, suspected fraud scripts, passports, and vehicles worth approximately RM165,000.
