
Hungary's Paks Nuclear Power Plant Reaches Full Capacity
The Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary has reached its maximum capacity, covering approximately half of the country's domestic electricity production and one-third of its total electricity consumption. The plant had to reduce its output since late July due to low water levels in the Danube, but it resumed full operation earlier than expected thanks to the construction of an underwater cooling tower and increased water levels in the river.
