    Disabled Mother and Newborn Evicted, Rights Restored

    Ombudsmen for human rights intervened to help a disabled mother with a newborn baby who was evicted from a municipal apartment in Stavropol. The woman, an orphan with a disability since childhood, was removed from the registry by a court decision made in absentia. After appealing to the regional human rights commissioner, the decision was recognized as illegal and canceled by the court. The issue of restoring the woman and child's registration, as well as arranging social benefits, is currently being resolved.

    Montenegrin TV Lacks Representation of Vulnerable Social Groups

    An analysis by the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services (AMU) found that only one percent of television programs in Montenegro are dedicated to vulnerable social groups, despite a positive approach without negative reporting. Public broadcasters dominated the coverage, with Adria TV, TV Podgorica, and TV Nikšić leading in reporting on these groups. Topics focused mainly on people with disabilities (39%), elderly (21%), and LGBTIQ+ population (15%). AMU recommends increasing the volume, diversity, and interactivity of contents dedicated to vulnerable groups.
