Housing Authority Investigates Concrete Quality Issues in Public Housing Blocks
The Housing Authority has discovered that the concrete quality in certain structural components of Blocks 3, 4, and 5 of the East Lantau 42 District Public Housing Development Project, and the Tung Chung Area 42 Public Housing Development Project, does not meet design and contractual requirements. Routine tests conducted by the Housing Authority's engineering team revealed these issues. The contractor, Anbo Engineering Limited, has been instructed to submit a detailed report and rectification plan, and has replaced the relevant concrete supplier. The overall structural condition of the sites is currently deemed safe.
