Stair Climbing Reduces Cardiovascular Death Risk by 39%
A large-scale analysis shows that regularly using stairs can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease-related death by 39% and all-cause mortality by 24%. Frequent stair users also have a lower risk of developing major cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack, stroke, and heart failure. The study, published in the American Journal of Cardiovascular Drugs, reviewed over 1900 existing studies and included data from over 480,000 people.
