AIVD Warns Against Confidential Conversations in Cars
The Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) has warned citizens that confidential conversations within and around modern vehicles can be intercepted via remotely activated microphones. According to the agency, intelligence agencies from other countries can request data from car manufacturers or access it through direct system access. To protect themselves, AIVD recommends avoiding the use of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and wireless charging, using USB adapters with data blocking, and not driving vehicles with external cameras near restricted areas.5 sourcesSee all sources
