    US Southern Command Activates Joint Task Force-Western Hemisphere to Combat Drug Trafficking

    The US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) has activated the Joint Task Force-Western Hemisphere, a new military structure aimed at intensifying operations against transnational criminal organizations, particularly drug trafficking networks, in the Western Hemisphere.
