    Kevin Eduardo Cataneo Salazar was found guilty of first-degree murder for the Sept. 16, 2023, killing of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer. Salazar shot and killed Deputy Clinkunbroomer in an 'ambush-style' attack while he was sitting in his patrol vehicle at a red light outside the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station. The jury reached the verdict after just a few hours of deliberation on Monday.

    Thessaloniki Police Officer Arrested for Rape, Domestic Violence, and Illegal Video Recording

    A 48-year-old police officer was arrested in Thessaloniki for allegedly raping his former partner, a 51-year-old woman, four times in July without her consent. The officer is also accused of video recording their cohabitation without her consent, threatening, and harassing her.     NHRC Directs Punjab Govt to Probe Allegation Against CM's Wife

    The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has directed the Punjab government to probe allegations that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's wife sought ₹5 crore to suppress a rape case. The complaint was made by former Punjab judge Justice Ranjit Singh. An NHRC bench headed by Member Priyank Kanoongo has asked the authorities to conduct an inquiry and submit an Action Taken Report within two weeks.
