    Former Bosnian Serb Army Commander Ratko Mladic Dies in Prison

    Ratko Mladic, the former commander of the Bosnian Serb Army, has died in prison at the age of 84. He was serving a life sentence for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide committed during the Bosnian War in the 1990s. Mladic was known for his role in the Srebrenica massacre, where over 8000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed in 1995. He was arrested in 2011 and sentenced to life imprisonment by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in 2017.

    Academics Warn of Legal Authoritarianism and Constitutional Dictatorship in Chile's Proposed Reform

    Academics Javier Couso and Arturo Fontaine, both appearing on CNN Chile's #CNNPrime, have expressed serious concerns about the proposed constitutional reform in Chile. Chile, went further, stating that if the government insists on the current path, it risks leading to 'legal authoritarianism' and even the construction of a 'constitutional dictatorship'. Both experts emphasized the potential threats posed by the reform to the Chilean population.
