    Germany to Spend €12 Billion on Long-Range Weapons

    Germany plans to invest nearly €12 billion in creating a new long-range weapons arsenal, capable of striking targets hundreds to thousands of kilometers away. The project, a top priority for Germany and NATO, aims to strengthen deterrence against Russia. The four-part program includes acquiring affordable winged missiles, American Tomahawks, and developing advanced hypersonic weapons jointly with the UK. The first systems are expected by 2027, with more complex ones by the mid-2030s.

    Supreme Court Reduces Mandatory Legal Practice to One Year for Entry-Level Judicial Exam

    The Supreme Court has reduced the mandatory legal practice requirement for law graduates seeking to appear in entry-level judicial service examinations from three years to one year. The court said that candidates appearing in judicial exams notified between May 25, 2025 and March 31, 2027 are eligible regardless of prior experience. However, selected candidates will have to undergo training at the judicial academy and a further one year clerkship. The court held that the earlier three-year practice rule created hardship for young lawyers and law graduates.
