    NHRC Investigates Alleged Use of Children in Digvijaya Singh's Yatra

    The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to the Madhya Pradesh government and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology following complaints alleging that children were exploited to participate in a yatra led by former Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijaya Singh. The complainants suggest that children might have been involved through monetary payments and were made to raise political slogans. The NHRC has directed the state Chief Secretary, DGP, and MeitY to investigate the allegations and submit reports within two weeks.

    Former Chihuahua AG Linked to Illegal Exercise of Public Service; Collusion Charge Dismissed

    A judge has linked former Chihuahua Attorney General César Jáuregui to a process for the crime of illegal exercise of public service. The judge dismissed the charge of collusion among public servants, stating that the legal requirements to prove this crime were not met. The ruling came at the end of his second hearing in the Supreme Court of Justice of the state, during which the former official appeared via Zoom from the maximum security prison in Altiplano.
