Over 13,600 domestic and foreign individuals are trapped in cyber fraud zones along the Myanmar-Thailand border, controlled by the Myanmar military's border guard forces and allies. The Karen Border Guard Force (BGF) controls 8,370 people, while the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA) controls 5,300. Victims are lured through LinkedIn, dating apps, and social media, then sold at high prices.
