Quest Diagnostics Reports Cyber Breach Affecting Patient Records
Quest Diagnostics has reported a cybersecurity breach that compromised certain patient records. The breach occurred on one of their systems, specifically the Quanum Lab Services Manager (LSM) platform, which allows healthcare providers to order laboratory tests and access results. The company has temporarily suspended access to the affected system and is working to restore it. Quest believes some patient data was accessed but is still investigating the specific information involved and the number of people affected. They have notified federal law enforcement authorities and are working to identify affected patients and healthcare providers.15 sourcesSee all sources
