25 States Sue Trump Administration Over Latest Global Tariffs
Twenty-five states led by Democrats filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, challenging its latest round of global tariffs. The states argue that the tariffs unlawfully replace duties already struck down by courts. The lawsuit was filed with the US International Trade Court in New York. The new tariffs, which took effect on July 24, target 60 trading partners, including the European Union, and range from 10% to 12.5%. The states claim that the administration is using forced labor as a pretext to maintain its policy of imposing indiscriminate harmful tariffs on a wide range of countries.44 sourcesSee all sources
