Ukraine Aims to Force Russia to End War by Winter

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has outlined plans to increase diplomatic, economic, and military pressure on Russia to force it to end the war by winter. This includes intensifying diplomatic efforts, strengthening sanctions, inflicting medium-range military strikes, and expanding international sanctions against Russia. Zelensky has also called on diplomats to counter Russian influence ahead of elections in partner countries and develop relations with China. Meanwhile, Ukraine has proposed ceasefires in various formats, including in the air and energy sectors, and along the front line, with Zelensky ready for a personal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
