Slovak Economy Outlook Improved by National Bank and Ministry of Finance
The National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) and the Ministry of Finance have both improved their forecasts for the Slovak economy. The NBS expects economic growth of 0.8% this year and 1.9% next year, with inflation at 3.6% and 3.1% respectively. The Ministry of Finance predicts growth of 0.8% this year and 1.8% next year, with inflation slowing to 2.9%. Both institutions attribute the improved outlook to better-than-expected private consumption, exports, and government consumption. However, they warn of risks such as energy prices, geopolitical uncertainty, and trade barriers.8 sourcesSee all sources
