Ukrainian authorities have announced a tightening of mobilization rules, reducing the limit on military draft deferment for the defense industry and energy sector to 95%. Previously, these sectors could defer up to 100% of conscripts. The new rules also establish a Coordination Center for Deferment, headed by the Ministry of Defense, to review and recommend changes to deferment criteria. Document verification for deferment may now take up to a month, and managers who violate military accounting rules twice within a year may have their quota increase requests denied.
