Heavy Rain, Storms, and Heat Wave Expected Across Mexico on September 6

A low-pressure system and atmospheric instability will bring heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds to various regions of Mexico on September 6. The Mexican monsoon and cyclonic circulations will cause significant rainfall in states like Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Yucatan. An anticyclonic circulation will maintain hot to very hot weather in northern Mexico, coastal states, and the Yucatan Peninsula, with a heat wave persisting in Sinaloa, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas. A new tropical wave may approach the coasts of Quintana Roo. In Mexico City, an orange alert has been activated due to storms in Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, and Venustiano Carranza.
