Mathura Celebrates Shri Krishna Janmashtami

Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, is decked up for Shri Krishna Janmashtami, with the city's major roads and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi beautifully illuminated and decorated. Devotees from across India and abroad have arrived, and the administration has strengthened security measures and implemented traffic diversions. The Banke Bihari Temple and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple complex have been illuminated and decorated ahead of the festival. Special prasad from Ayodhya’s Ram Rasoi and dry fruits and adornment materials from Kashi Vishwanath have reached Mathura for Lord Krishna. The birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna has been beautifully decorated with colorful lights, flowers, and attractive decorations. Today, September 4, marks the 5253rd birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, and it is estimated that around 75 lakh devotees may reach Mathura-Vrindavan and Braj Mandal for the birthday celebrations.
