EASA Extends Gulf Airspace Warning Amid US-Iran Tensions

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has extended its warning to airlines to avoid flying over waters in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE until September 30, 2026. The warning was expanded after military tensions between the US and Iran escalated. EASA also advised airlines to exercise caution when flying over land areas of these countries and to avoid flying over the Gulf of Oman airspace within Muscat's air traffic information region. The agency withdrew its previous recommendation to avoid Jordanian airspace but advised airlines to continue exercising caution there until September 30.
