Israel to Set Up Polling Stations in Occupied Gaza, Lebanon and Syria for Upcoming Election

The Israeli military is preparing to install polling stations in occupied areas of the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria ahead of the general election on 27 October. The move aims to facilitate voting for soldiers deployed beyond Israel's internationally recognised borders. Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir has instructed military officials to ensure combat troops stationed in these areas can exercise their right to vote. The military will deploy polling stations 'deep in enemy territory' to enable voting for these soldiers. The Central Elections Committee has approved regulations allowing soldiers to cast ballots from military positions in these areas.
