The Regional Electoral Court of Bahia (TRE-BA) ordered the arrest of Salvador's municipal secretary of Mobility, Pablo Souza, for preventing at least 75 buses from leaving their garages during the second round of the 2026 elections. The court also ordered the immediate restoration of the entire bus fleet and imposed a fine of R$1 million per hour in case of non-compliance. The decision came after a request from the Brazil Hope Federation, formed by the PT, PCdoB, and PV, who presented videos of buses remaining in garages despite the election taking place.
