A 56-year-old man, later identified as Thomas Gigler, went overboard from a Carnival cruise ship during a 15th wedding anniversary trip with his wife and three sons. The incident occurred six days into their week-long holiday from Long Beach, California, to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
