    Vietnam Airlines Plane Overshoots Runway at Munich Airport

    A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 bound for Hanoi overshot the runway during takeoff at Munich Airport, causing damage to the aircraft and runway. The plane circled over the area for over an hour to burn off fuel before making an emergency landing. All passengers and crew were unharmed. The incident is under investigation by the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation.

    Tropical Storm Threat Looms Over South China Sea

    A broad low-pressure trough is expected to affect the South China Sea and the Philippine Sea east of Luzon later this week, with the possibility of two low-pressure areas forming within the trough. The Hong Kong Observatory predicts that one of these low-pressure areas in the northern South China Sea will develop and move towards the Hainan Island area in the next two to three days, bringing stronger winds and heavy rain along the coast of Guangdong in the middle of this week. There is also a possibility of a tropical storm forming this week.

    Heavy Rain and Flooding in South Korea

    Heavy rain and flooding are affecting southern regions of South Korea, with rainfall of up to 100mm per hour reported in areas like Tongyeong City and Geoje. Residents have been advised to ensure immediate safety and ordered to evacuate in some areas. The Korea Meteorological Administration has warned of possible flooding in Goseong-eup, Gyeongnam due to heavy rain exceeding 50mm per hour. Flooding on roads has also been reported in Gyeongnam Gyeongju, leading to controlled vehicle traffic.
