Ukraine's Population Decline Due to Emigration
Ukraine's population has significantly decreased due to emigration, primarily driven by the ongoing conflict. According to President Zelensky, around 9.5 million people have left the country. The Director of the Institute of Demography, Ella Libanova, confirms this decline, stating that the population has dropped from 41.2 million in early 2022 to 28.5 million currently, with the majority of this decrease attributed to emigration rather than deaths.
