    Ukraine's Grain Exports Plummet Due to Russian Blockade

    Ukraine's grain exports have significantly decreased due to Russian attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure and ships, leading to a naval blockade. In the first 12 days of August, wheat exports fell by 4.3 times, barley by 5.6 times, and corn by 2.7 times compared to the same period last year.     Romanowski's Whereabouts: Polish Official Hides in Pro-Russian Transnistria

    Marcin Romanowski, a former Polish deputy minister of justice, is reportedly hiding in Tiraspol, the capital of the breakaway Moldovan province of Transnistria, which is supported by Russia. Romanowski, who is wanted in connection with an investigation into alleged corruption, has sent a letter to the District Court in Warsaw regarding the so-called 'iron list' from this address in Transnistria. Polish authorities have confirmed that the document was registered at the court last week and contains Romanowski's address in Tiraspol. Experts and politicians from the ruling coalition have no illusions: without the help of Russian special services or a huge bribe, Romanowski would not have been able to get there. Polish services may have trouble downloading Romanowski as his movement is heavily restricted in the area protected by Russian services and military.
