Eurozone Inflation Surges to Three-Year High
Eurozone inflation rate hit a three-year high of 3.8% in September, driven primarily by a sharp increase in energy prices which rose by 18.8%. This is the highest inflation rate since July 2018 and exceeds expectations.

Europe's Gas Prices Soar Ahead of Winter
European natural gas prices have surged by around 160% since January, reaching levels not seen before as the continent heads into winter. Gas storage facilities are at critically low levels, with Germany at only 57% capacity. Experts warn that an unexpectedly cold November could drive prices up to $30-$40 per million British thermal units, and a severe winter could lead to prices having 'no ceiling'.
