CNJ to Discuss Rules Against Conflicts of Interest and Mandatory Retirement for Judges
The National Council of Justice (CNJ) is set to discuss rules aimed at preventing conflicts of interest within the judiciary. President Luiz Edson Fachin is expected to present a proposal that includes guidelines for judges' participation in events, receipt of gifts, and ties with relatives. The CNJ will also vote on ending mandatory retirement as a disciplinary sanction for judges, replacing it with dismissal as an option.
