Tennessee Football: QB Change Leads to Win Over Auburn
Tennessee football replaced struggling freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon with sophomore George MacIntyre in the second quarter against Auburn on October 3. MacIntyre, a former Brentwood Academy standout, led the Volunteers to a 24-14 victory, passing for 86 yards and no interceptions. Brandon, who started the game, completed 3-of-8 passes for no yards and an interception. The offensive line struggled due to injuries, but running back DeSean Bishop rushed for a career-high 220 yards and three touchdowns. Tennessee's defense also played a significant role, with safety Dejuan Lane recording nine tackles, two sacks, and an interception.14 sourcesSee all sources
