Ukraine Develops New Missile Shield Project Freyja
Ukraine, with European partners, is working on the Freyja project to strengthen protection against Russian ballistic missiles. The project, led by Ukrainian company Fire Point, aims to create interceptors based on the small-range ballistic missile FP-7. Sensors, guidance, and control systems will be provided by 12 European defense companies. The system is expected to be operational by mid-2027, though Western experts are more cautious about the timeline.2 sourcesSee all sources
