    Nepal Flood: Bridge Swept Away

    A bridge connecting Malekhu and Dhading Besi in Nepal was swept away by raging floodwaters, disrupting road connectivity. At least nine people have been killed in flash floods across the country, with authorities warning the toll could rise. The flooding has also swept away homes, roads, and other infrastructure. A massive flash flood in Gajuri resulted in at least 160 deaths and over 400 people missing. A total of 19 bridges have been swept away in the flash floods.

    Landslide Disaster in Nepal-Tibet Border Kills Hundreds

    A massive landslide occurred at the border of Nepal and Tibet, causing widespread destruction and loss of life. At least 95 people were confirmed dead, with hundreds more missing. The landslide, which was captured on video and in satellite images, widened a riverbed by more than half and buried villages, bridges, and roads under thick mud and debris. Survivors described the event as devastating, with some narrowly escaping death.
