Superpowers Race to Install Nuclear Reactors on the Moon
NASA, Russia, and China are competing to install nuclear reactors on the Moon. NASA aims to launch its reactor by 2030, while Russia and China target 2036. These reactors are seen as crucial for establishing permanent lunar bases and providing constant energy during the Moon's long nights. However, scientists warn of potential risks such as accidents during launch, reactor falls, and radioactive contamination.21 sourcesSee all sources
