Unhealthy Air Quality Across Malaysia Due to Haze
Malaysia is currently grappling with widespread unhealthy air quality due to haze, with a significant number of areas recording high Air Pollution Index (API) readings. As of recent reports, 17 to 32 areas nationwide have been affected, with several locations in Sarawak, including Serian, Kuching, Sri Aman, and Miri, recording API levels above 150. Other affected areas include Johor, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Sabah, and Sarawak. The Ministry of Health is monitoring haze-related disease cases and advises the public, especially high-risk groups, to reduce outdoor activities.18 sourcesSee all sources
