Colts Release Kicker Blake Grupe; Spencer Shrader Wins Job
The Indianapolis Colts have released kicker Blake Grupe, who joined the team midway through the 2025 season and finished the year with a perfect 21-for-21 record on kicks, including a franchise-record 60-yard field goal. Grupe signed a one-year deal with the Colts in March to compete with Spencer Shrader for the starting job. After a close competition throughout training camp and the preseason, Shrader has won the job after hitting two 60-yard field goals.
