Ukraine's Damage Register Expands, Russia Must Compensate
Ukraine's Damage Register, started in 2023, has begun accepting claims in new categories, including state humanitarian expenses and demining costs. Advisor Mykola Yurlyov reported that damages have already exceeded $1 trillion, with estimates ranging from $667 billion to over $1.1 trillion since 2014. Russia's assets under sanctions are approximately $300 billion. Ukraine plans to open all categories by the end of 2026.
