Kyiv Under Attack: City Paralyzed by Russian Strikes, Traffic Jams, and Power Outages

Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, faced a series of Russian attacks on October 22, causing significant disruptions to the city's infrastructure and daily life. The assaults included ballistic strikes on residential areas, damaging critical infrastructure such as bridges and metro lines, and leaving many without power. The attacks resulted in massive traffic jams, with residents struggling to commute due to damage to the Southern Bridge and limitations on metro services. The city's green line metro was closed due to a person falling onto the tracks, adding to the chaos. The Ukrainian air defense failed to intercept any of the missiles launched at Kyiv. The attacks also targeted the Antonov aircraft plant, which produces drones and missiles, further impacting the city's ability to defend itself.
