Myanmar Military Escalates Airstrikes on Civilians
Myanmar's military has intensified aerial attacks on civilians, with war crimes and abuses including torture and sexual violence committed by all sides in the country's civil war, according to UN investigators. The military stepped up such attacks and other crimes against civilians in the lead-up to elections held last December and January, with strikes continuing unabated. The military is increasingly using drones, motorized paragliders, and other low-cost aircraft for low-altitude strikes using unguided explosives.16 sourcesSee all sources
