    Russian 'Rassvet' Satellites Expanding Coverage Over Ukraine

    Russian satellites 'Rassvet', launched by Bureau 1440, are providing increasing communication coverage over Ukraine. Initially launched in March with 16 satellites, 12 have reached operational altitude of 550 km, with three more ascending and one failed. They currently offer 1-2 hours of daily 'communication windows', enabling control of naval drones and strike/reconnaissance UAVs. A second batch of 16 satellites was launched in July, expected to reach operational heights in October-November, further increasing coverage. If deployment continues at this pace, Russia could achieve 24/7 coverage over Ukraine by mid-2027.
