Russian Railways CEO Responds to Armenian PM's Remarks on Railway Concession
Oleg Belozero, head of Russian Railways (RZD), responded to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's claims about possible demands for rent payments under the South Caucasus Railway concession agreement. Belozero stated that RZD consistently fulfills its obligations, has never received dividends, and has invested approximately $396.3 million since 2008. He also highlighted improvements in infrastructure, employee wages, and the resolution of flood damages, all funded by RZD. Belozero emphasized that all rights and obligations are outlined in the concession agreement, and if Armenia seeks to change or terminate it, RZD expects the return of their investments.12 sourcesSee all sources
