Evenepoel and Van Aert Aim for Rainbow Jersey in World Cycling Championships
Remco Evenepoel and Wout van Aert began the World Cycling Championships road race today with high ambitions, aiming to succeed Tadej Pogacar as the world champion. The race started around 15:08 and was expected to finish around 21:45. Both riders were considered favorites, with Evenepoel even seen as the favorite by some experts. They were supported by their respective teams and coaches, with national coach Serge Pauwels stating that 'all noses are pointing in the same direction'.
