US Sanctions Chinese Entities Over Ex-Google Engineer's AI Trade Secrets Theft
The US has sanctioned five Chinese entities, including Shanghai Zhisuan Technology and MiraclePlus, over the theft of Google's AI trade secrets by ex-employee Linwei Ding. Ding founded Shanghai Zhisuan Technology in 2023 to build software speeding up machine learning training on supercomputing chips. He claimed his product could give China computing power infrastructure on par with international levels. The sanctioned entities face asset freezes and transaction bans with US persons.

U.S. Maintains Starlink Coverage Policy for Ukraine
